How often do you..?

Objective: use: how often do you do some activities.For example: How often do you use your computer, call your friends, read a book?  It's a ppp. It can be use instead of flascards to introduce the activities and at the end there is a game in which students have to guess the activity of the picture.

tips: FIrst, present the activities, then ask them to guess the activity of the picture. Finally, ask your students to ask their classmates the questions: How often do you...

-read a book?

-cook dinner?

-go to the cinema?

etc...

How often do you...

The main aim is describe routine through the pictures. Practice present simple. It's useful for begginer students. Describe routines and schedules in small gropus. Conversation activitie.

How often do you

A very useful ppt to rehearse sports and present simple in all its forms. Also, it includes the difference between individual and group sports, as well as the difference between do, play and go

How often do you exercise?

A fun board game to play in pairs. Students throw a dice and ask a question with How often do you...? according to place they land. The other student has to answer with an adverb of frequency. If he or she answers correctly, they can play. If the student answers incorrectly, he or she loses her turn. If they land in a space with an arrow, they first ask the question where they landed and then move forward or backwards depending on where the arrow is pointing. The first person to reach the end wins! To add a level of difficulty, I recommend erasing the action verbs and leaving just the pictures.

29 questions and students will answer using present and adverbs to describe their habits. If playing with intermediate students, I'd ask them to talk about their habits related to that question. I also added some questions about their use of technology and internet.

Boardgame - HOW OFTEN DO YOU...? (with rolling dice)

Students pick up 5 very useful adverbs about when we do stuff. As an assessment, you can write these five words on the board and at the end of the lesson have students write in single sentences the stuff they always do, often do, sometimes do, seldom do or never do. You can turn this into a little art project where a student just takes one sentence and creates a drawing or work of art around it.
