Grammar structures for Polish high school students for various exams. The sentences include present, past and future tenses but also comparison of adjectives, conditional sentences and passive.

Translations into Polish

Presentation includes ale the theory related to Present Simple tense. It also includes "interactive" exercises for students after each part of the material (making positive sentances/negations/questions/adding -s ect.). 

My presentation is aimed at teaching Polish students, as it contains some information in Polish. 

Present Simple tense (Polish)

As the title hs it, you will fimn here about 20 most useful (I hope) idioms. My students love to have everything translated word-to word, so I created this to make them aware that sometimes looking for Polish exact equivalents doesn't help much.

Idioms most frequently used 

A speaking game based on fashion and appearance vocabulary. One of the students describes what she/he can see in the picture (that is the password). Another student has to quess what is being described. There's a time limit. Be careful! Some word are explained in Polish!

I used this with my students to recap the difference between nouns, verbs and adjectives as they had trouble with remembering the difference.

A short revision of Past Simple, Past Perfect and Past Perfect Continuous. + constructions used to vs would. It includes translation from Polish to English. My highschool student (class1) enjoyed it.

Past tenses

The cultural questions are at the level of 4-6 class Polish primary school, that is 10-13 year olds. May work well as a team game. Watch for the little icons of a speaker. Surprise there ;)

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
