RISE or RAISE

This dialog tries to introduce a few challenging vocabulary terms and a couple of longer, more sustained sentences.  It may include some attempts at humor.  I\'ll usually read through it myself and have students translate into their own language to build comprehension, and then we\'ll take turns reading/playing the different roles.

Asking for a Raise

With this ppt students will have to guess which verb they need to use with each expression. Pictures are included to help them guess and learn the vocabulary. This exercises is based on Spanish EBAU exam for 2º bachillerato.

Collocations with MAKE, TAKE, RAISE

This lesson covers clothing, colors, there is/there are and the Bible reading of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead from John 11:1-45. Audio narration and song are included. Pronunciation of the /sh/ and voiced /th/ sounds are practiced. Homework includes practical reading of an advertisement and writing about clothing in different cultures. In this game, Santa has lost his Christmas presents, and it's up to the students to help him collect all his lost gifts. I usually ask students to raise their hands and once I get three responses to each question, they 'clear' the level.
