The objective of this worksheet is to practise cooking vocabulary. It can be used as a revision exercise or to present how to write a recipe. There is a solution to it.

This is a 1-page dialogue (with an accompanying vocabulary breakout) about a father and daughter cooking dinner together, using an old family recipe.  There's a heavy emphasis on the terms "enough" and "too much" in here.

This is a group writing task to round up the unit on food. Students have to write a recipe following some guidelines. 

The recipes are collected in a ppt, which is shared. As a follow up students could cook their favourite recipe from the cookbook, take a picture and talk about the cooking process and the food.

This PowerPoint is aimed at introducing learners to some traditional recipes from the UK.



The grammar aim of this activity is to get learners to use indefinite articles and to fill in the gaps before the ingredients for each recipe. 



The final part of this class is to get learners talking about their opinion in English and giving some justifications. E.g. I would like to try scones because I like sweet food.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
