Present Perfect vs Past Simple

These slides include an overall presentation of the present simple (use and structure) as well as some activities to practice. It can be used with A1 and A2 levels since it works both as an introduction and a consolidation.

Feelings multiple choice GAME!

It's speaking drilling activity to practice and consolidate the material "Comparative degree of adverbs". It develops skills to form adverbs from adjectives and comparative degree of adverbs.

Comparative adverbs

The ppt practices modal CAN in affirmatives and questions. It also consolidates animal vocabulary. There are lots of animal photos. It's also good for dyslectic students because there is a task on missing letters.

This PowerPoint presentation (PPT) is aimed at A2-B2.1 level students. It provides some consolidation on the second conditional structure and encourages learners to produce full sentences. Students should have been exposed to the language point earlier in the lesson (or in previous study).



Alternatively, you can use these slides as a springboard for self-discovery of the target language. Thus the series of six practise slides prompt student(s) to select a logical answer to the questions. Student(s) are then encouraged to explain the reason for their choice to their peers or teacher.



The PPT can also be used competitively by splitting a class into teams and have them call out the correct answer in the fastest time. Therefore, this could also be used as a cooler after ample exposure of second conditional.

PRESENT PERFECT

This power point is for the consolidation of the grammar drill , "Degrees of comparison of adjectives". Divide your class into groups and try to count your points on the board.

The zero conditional is used to make statements about the real world, and often refers to general truths, such as scientific facts. In these sentences, the time is now or always and the situation is real and possible. Examples:



  1)  If you freeze water, it becomes a solid.

   2) Plants die if they don't get enough water.

   3) If my husband has a cold, I usually catch it.

   4) If public transport is efficient, people stop using their cars.
