Speaking lessons with a topic about Friends. There are several activities that guide throughout the lesson. This file can be used best with "Communication Strategies" coursebook.  

Speaking About Friends

You can print these speaking cards and distribute them to your students. Each students needs to make a sentence that corresponds the card. In the area where there is a happy smiley symbol they should make a sentence using "like". In the field where there is a sad smiley they should make a sentence using "don´t like" and gerund. For example: He likes swimming / He doesn´t like watching TV.

This powerpoint presentation lets students practice comparing photos using certain expressions and also giving their opinion on a related topic to the pictures. Created for high school, adults (1 bachillerato)

A game with verbs that have to be used in the past - Students choose the verb and say the sentence with the verb in the past. They'll practice grammar and speaking as well.

Past Tense Game

Revise your students traveling vocabulary. Watch the video and discuss it. Practice with students their speaking skills. Ask your students what would they bring to friends from journey? The ppt is suitable for SpeakOut Elementary book.

I\'ve been using this file to encourage speaking, most with questions like: What\'s he/she doing? What are they doing? Hope it\'s helpful. :)

In this task, students will be asked to do many different things. They'll have to describe people, objects, and feelings. They'll have to give orders and make suggestions. There's also an online game to practice plurals and singulars.

The first three activities are teacher-guided and the last two are role-plays.

Speaking task for Elementary Students - 2

Here is a short slide deck of some sentence frames and pictures to get low-level students talking about clothing vocab. And at the end are three drop and drag activities you can do as a whole class together or pick students to "dress" the characters in the appropriate type of clothing.
