The powerpoint is a quick and easy tool to use when teaching synonyms. It uses basic English words that many ESL teachers can use in their Elementary classrooms. The objective is to introduce the concept of synonyms and try to build vocabulary by learning multiple words that have the same meaning.

I went on a course 'Teaching grammar for writing' which informed us that you should teach grammar in a covert sort of way, not explicitly. I made this ppt which reinforces adverbs in (hopefully) a fun way.

Review of numbers for advanced adult learnes. Fractions, millions, billions, dates and extra tips. Specially meant for executive english learners, is great for explaining facts and figures in presentations. Also Handy for accounting,finance are as most english classes regarding numbers is very basic and fails to explain fractions and bigger numbers. I created this presentation as a special request from my advanced students, as their vocabulary for numbers was very basic. It turned out great and was very helpful to them!

You could ask more advanced or confident students to write a description of the pictures. I have not included exercises for the two on the first slide. They could come back and describe those after completing the others.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
