Tongue Twister TH

It is a useful PPT for kids. It is designed so they can learn new words and introduce them to the magic world of READING.

First the kids have to know the vocabulary displayed at the beginning and then, they will try to read the story or the sentences with the teacher's help. It has questions at the end of the story to follow the sequence and to know what words they learned. It also has great pictures to make this worksheet funnier! I hope u like it!!!

Here I am uploading my first ever PPT according to the lesson material I was given by the company that I work for. In this PPT you can see Phonics ph and th sounds with different kinds of activities and games. I hope you will like it.

this document provides a list of words containing the phonetic sounds "", "th", and "sh" along with example words for each sound. It then shows pictures of objects for students to name that end in sounds from the list, acting as a review of the newly learned phonetic

This is a PPT lesson designed to get students used to the correct tongue placement to say voiced and unvoiced TH sounds. First Ss are asked to place a finger in front of their lips and they must feel their tongue touch (lick) their finger. Once they've got used to that, the teacher will give each student a lollipop that s/he will hold in front of their lips. With each TH word they say, they'll be able to taste the sweetness of the candy and the tongue placement will have a positive association for them. I used two supplementary YouTube videos of voiced and unvoiced TH words made by The Accent's Way. The students repeated the words with the lollipops. It has been a great success each time I've taught this!

The student has to determine the initial sounds blends and to identify the voiced and voiceless TH sounds. The student can match the words, count, tell the blends.

This PPT is designed to give your students some techniques that will get them used to the tongue placement neccesary to pronounce TH sounds correctly. The KEY to this lesson is students must first use their finger to feel if their tongue is protruding from between their teeth. Once you've practiced saying words like that, provide your students with a lollipop that they'll hold in front of their lips. When they say a TH sound correctly, they'll be able to taste the lollipop and the positive reward will really help them remember the tongue placement. 

I combined this PPT with two YouTube videos by The Accent's Way. She has clear pronunciation of voiced and unvoiced TH words.

Asian students really seem to hate sticking their tongues out of their mouths to properly make the "th" sound. This is a series of PPTs specifically meant to get Asian students to stick their tongues out and make this sound properly. Have the entire class practice at the same time or go through the students individually and have them pronounce these sentences.
