There are two different tic-tac-toe games.  One is for beginners and one is more advanced. The student can choose between a butterfly and a caterpillar for a game piece.

Insects, Tic-Tac-Toe

This is the second game task suitable for A1 ss. It's a review exercise with lots of activities. Each slide has got several exercises. In the score board you can write the letters of the teams to make it more challenging. The last 2 slides are empty for you to create a suitable task.

Tic-tac-toe 2

Assign nought to one team, cross to other. First player chooses a square (you click on the corresponding number on the yellow circles on the left). Player answers the question (you click to see the answer, then click to return to the game). If the answer is right and the team is nought, click on the small nought in the square he had chosen. If the answer is wrong, click on the small cross. Winner is the first to get 3 in a row.

Tic Tac Toe Gameboard

In this activity, students create questions about a picture on the tic-tac-toe board. The question the student asks is determined by a dice roll. There is an attached key. This is a listening and speaking activity and is designed to help students create general questions. It should be used to support lessons teaching question words. When a student creates a question for a picture, he or she marks it and then the students' partner does the same thing until one or the other gets tic-tac-toe. Kids love games like this.

Two Players. Four rounds. This is the regular TIC TAC TOE Game. The students choose a token (Harry or Hermione).Click on the diagraph to show the student's token. Click again to show the second token. Click once more if you need to go back to the first token. You can keep score of the games by clicking on the return button which will take you to the Score slide. Click on the corresponding number to increase.

This is the first tic-tac-toe game of a series that I'm creating to review topics and vocabulary. It has 30 questions and 2 additional in case of a draw. Since it's the first one, it's really basic. The instruction are in the last slide.This one deals with wh-questions, possessives, have got, months, numbers. I hope it's useful for all.

How to play: 2 groups or 2 students play the game. Assign noughts to one group/student and crosses to the other. 

First player chooses a square, (click on the corresponding circle on the left). Student/group answers the question, (click on the picture to show the answer). Click to return to the game.

If the answer is right, and the student/group is nought, click on the small nought in the chosen square. If it's wrong, click on the cross.

The winner is the student/group that gets three in a row.
