A fun activity to learn and practice Halloween Vocabulary.

Here is a colour powerpoint on Halloween to teach some typical Halloween  vocabulary to ESL beginners with animated pictures to memorize new words: zombies, witches, spiders, etc. After showing the powerpoint, I use the "Halloween matching worksheet" created by 1mada

Aimed at 4 teams. They pick a question.

If correct click Spin, if incorrect click the Bear to return.

On the spinner page click spin. then again to stop. Remember the number.

Click on a number (1-8) to go to the Balloon page. The team then chooses witch team's balloons to pop. The number of balloons matches the spinner number.

If you finish 1 then move on to 2 etc.

Mysterious Stories worksheets are aimed to develop multiple skills and functions. The worksheets are story-based, every page contains a mysterious or detective narrative which is amusing for Halloween and not only!

The worksheets are targeted at Intermediate and higher-level adult learners (B1+). By studying these worksheets the students can at least:

I like to use the board game with conversation flash cards, vocabulary flash cards, etc. In this manner the student will feel more encouraged to practice speaking skills.

I use the flash cards in a PDF format so I can switch between screens without using too much CPU memory or without conflicting PPT presentations.
