This ppt was designed to revise jobs learnt earlier but now I added the workplaces, as well. This ppt helps you to introduce places in town. After learning how to tell the time, these places serve as a basis for practising opening times  (e.g: in a form of a n info-gap activity).

Workplaces, the settings where these occupations unfold, are equally diverse. From bustling corporate offices to serene natural landscapes, workplaces come in various forms.

In traditional offices, professionals like accountants, managers, and marketing specialists typically collaborate in cubicles or open-plan layouts, fostering teamwork and innovation. Manufacturing plants are dynamic workplaces, where engineers and laborers create products. Healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and clinics, are hubs for medical professionals and support staff, providing essential care to patients.

Creative industries like advertising, design, and media often thrive in vibrant, artistic spaces. Meanwhile, outdoor occupations like farming, forestry, and construction are deeply rooted in nature's beauty. Remote work has gained prominence, enabling individuals to work from anywhere, blurring the lines between work and home.

Each workplace offers a unique environment, culture, and purpose, reflecting the diverse spectrum of human talents and endeavors.

In the second activity, children are asked where these people work. They have three choices.

In the last exercises, they have to answer what their family members' jobs are.

Working As An Expat: A Free Speaking ESL Lesson Plan

This is a fun and interactive roleplay game to practice workplace safety English. Students take turns playing the Boss, who is the safety officer, and the Clueless Worker, who breaks rules and makes excuses. The Boss must give clear safety instructions using phrases such as “You must…” or “It’s dangerous because…,” while the Worker acts out unsafe behavior with a funny character twist, for example being hungover, lazy, joking, or too cool to care. The game works by sending the Boss outside, giving the Worker a secret role, and letting the class help the Worker prepare excuses. When the Boss returns, they receive a safety task and must convince the Worker to follow the rules. The roleplay lasts three minutes, and afterwards the class votes and gives feedback.

The resource includes twenty scenarios that can be used throughout the year as well as a helpful phrases slide. It is designed to practice modal verbs, imperatives, cause and effect, and persuasive language in a memorable and engaging way. This activity works best with teens, vocational students, or adults at A2–B1 level who are learning speaking, roleplay, communication, and workplace vocabulary.
