Word Order in Questions

Some and any are quantifiers used to refer to an unspecified amount or number of something, but they differ in context.

Some is generally used in positive statements and when offering or requesting something politely. For example:

"I have some apples."
"Would you like some tea?"
It conveys a sense of availability or existence.

Any is typically used in negative statements and questions to emphasize an absence or inquire about the presence of something. For example:

"I don’t have any apples."
"Do you have any questions?"

In positive sentences, any can also express a lack of restriction or choice:

"You can choose any book."

Sentence building. Is a quick fun opener for any size class where a complete sentence is broken up.
A single word is given to each team of students and they must expand on the single word. For example (cat becomes wild, smelly, black and white cat).
Students then reform and place their sentences into one whole paragraph and see what they have come up with.
Sentences are often funny with no context. Good quick and fun way to get your students minds working.
