How to survey

Short activity for individual or small group completion to use the correct form the the verbs and tenses given to complete the post card message. Uses simple present and past tenses and present perfect. A bit of fun to round off a more serious session.

Thanksgiving History - Video Class

This PowerPoint can be used to teach or revise the present simple or present continuous, and is specifically focused on when we use these two tenses. It is absolutely necessary that the teacher verbally explains the content of each slide and clarifies any doubts. The last slide includes two links for further practice. 

Present Simple VS Present Continuous

This older teens/adult lesson is suitable for online or classroom teaching. *Warning* - values and morals are explored - great for conversation but not suitable for some classrooms/cultures. 
 Students will give their opinions on a wide range of scenarios, none of which have a definitive 'correct' answer. The second conditional is not taught here but it is necessary to use it competently to take part in the discussion.
