This PowerPoint can be used to explain the steps of a writing process, specifically for an informal letter to a friend. It includes organisation, register, language, and further tips for a writing of this type and a sample email at the end. The idea is the present this PowerPoint while also explaining what the content means in greater detail. Could be used for exam preparation for FCE (although it does not necessarily follow the exact prompt of an FCE writing, it can be an introduction to writing emails) or for C1 students as a more general guide. 

Writing Guide with Sample - A letter to a friend

This older teens/adult lesson is suitable for online or classroom teaching. *Warning* - values and morals are explored - great for conversation but not suitable for some classrooms/cultures. 
 Students will give their opinions on a wide range of scenarios, none of which have a definitive 'correct' answer. The second conditional is not taught here but it is necessary to use it competently to take part in the discussion.

Education speaking, is a quick opener to a class. Start of asking students about there gaming time, and do their parents object to this. Continue through the PowerPoint discussing as you go. Object is to try and make students understand that some games are educational and some are not (If they can convince their parents of this, their parents might allow more game time. Get them to debate in class about what their games can teach them.
