A powerpoint explaining the cultural differences between christmas and how it is celebrated in america and japan. I have the students try to translate the slides with words on it, then ask them to answer the question. For example, when i ask 'why do we celebrate christmas', nobody realizes that its a religious holiday, and will instead answer that its a party or a break from school.
