This is a speaking activity that gives students a topic to speak about on each slide. They should be encouraged to explain the pros and cons of each option, not just name a perceived positive or negative aspect of each situation. 
Students should try to speak non-stop for at least 1 minute per slide

Vowel sounds come in two varieties: long vowels and short vowels. When it comes to decoding words, beginning readers most frequently start with short vowels—specifically Short A and Short I.
