Speaking topic for elementary and pre-intermediate level students

This was meant as a fun ppt which introduces students to some of the more negative aspects of the USA. I wrote a book called New York City Sucks, But You'll Still Wanna Come Here! Some people say the USA sucks, but then why does everyone wanna come here? :P

The first few slides show how to change an adjective to an adverb by adding "ly" or "ily". Bad --> badly, Hungry ---> hungrily The remaining slides invite students to make the changes. The teacher should point out the verbs that require the change. You can even ask, which verb makes us change this word to an "ly" ending?

Alibi is a role play where some students are accused of a crime and must make up their own story for what they were doing in teams. The rest of the class become the police and interrogate them.
