An activity for revising Present Simple, third person singular. This video is supposed to be used after teaching vocabulary describing. everyday activities (wake up, have breakfast...). Students must be given a list of the verb phrases used in the video. They are then shown pictures of Simon and Simon's cat and are asked to divide the phrases into two groups, according to who, in their opinion, does each - whether Simon or his cat. Then they write Present Simple sentences: "Simon wakes up", "Simon's cat scratches the sofa" etc. At this point, they watch the video and check whether they've guessed right or not. I also have them re-write sentences they were wrong about: "Simon doesn't turn off the TV, his cat does it."
