Miles Morales is a teenager. He lives in New York City. He loves art and music, but he does not like his new school. One day, a radioactive spider bites Miles, and he gets superpowers. He can climb walls, jump very high, and become invisible.

Miles meets Spider-Man, but Spider-Man fights a villain called Kingpin. Spider-Man dies in the fight. Miles is very scared. Can he be a hero? He does not know what to do.

Later, Miles meets other Spider-People from different universes. They teach him how to use his powers. He learns to believe in himself.

Together, they stop Kingpin and save their worlds. Miles becomes the new Spider-Man. He is ready to protect his city.
