There are five open-ended questions where students have to form questions that get a particular answer. The questions are heard in the video seconds before the task. 

In the follow-up to the quiz,  5 questions have to be formed independently that ask about a specific piece of information missing from a sentence.

In the second task, there is a dubbing game where the students have to say the voiceovers to the muted dialog. The task is made convenient by virtue of the karaoke-style subtitles that show how fast students should proceed with their line.

This video quiz contains 6 scrambled sentence tasks to practice forming present simple, present continuous and past simple questions. Once the students have unscrambled the sentences, they should make up some more questions on their own, and act out a role play with a partner (they can also improvise questions on-the-fly during the role play). 

Student A: a child or another animal (e.g. a ladybug, another pigeons, a cat - to add some drama maybe). 

Student B: one of the little pigeons.

Let's imagine that your students are researchers and they meet a magical creature at the ocean floor that can speak English. The researchers will interview the squid and try to find out more about its life. Students are asked to unscramble the interview questions of the research team in this video quiz. Then one by one, ask these question from each other (Role A: researcher, Role B: Googly Squid). You can also have students mingle during the whole exercise and do the Q&A with a new partner for each new question.

Learners taking the C1 Advanced exam should be able to: Express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
