Practice writing small sentences using past present and future tense. This sheet concentrates on simple activities such as "going to the park" and is easily editable to your preference.

Past, Present and Future Activities

Wouldn't it be nice to go on a cruise? Here is a nice picture, with a short passage, some questions and then a true or false exercise. The picture could be used for present continuous tense to say what all the people are doing. 

Picture description exercise: on a cruise

Students complete the sentences using their own ideas. They practise the use of Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect Simple and Past Perfect Continuous. They can work in pairs or small groups. Then they compare their sentences and decide which ones are the most interesting or original.

Past tenses

A short passage about a family who go on a house swap from England to Canada. They put the verbs in the past simple tense and then answer the questions. They could then list a few for and against points. Full key included. It is a true story and I am the woman with the small house;-) Hope it will be useful.
