A selection of English ESL animal words printables

Word searches with word banks are pretty useless (I could do one in Swahili). In this word search, students have to come up with the names of the animals before they can start searching. A good way to enhance both vocabulary and spelling (not to mention detective skills ;-). 

Picture Word Search - Animals

A word game where you win if you are fast in remembering nouns, verbs, adjectives,clothes, animals, and countries beginning with the same letter. Play in in groups min. 2 students. You can add extra points if the spelling is right.Maybe use dictionaries. You just need to print page 1 for each student, and keep page 2 for explanation. My students have fun doing it.

Firstly, students should watch the video and learn the letters as well as the names of the animals.

Secondly, the teacher should spell the words to fill in the gaps under each picture.
