This worksheet is designed to helped students learn to navigate internet search tools such as Google and Wikipedia to find out simple information about common celebrities. The ones provided were known to my students at time time, feel free to change them. The last place is for a celebrity of their own choosing. I usually follow this up with a homework assignment for another NEW celebrity that they write a paragraph about and bring to class.

Internet Celebrity Bio Search

This activity involves students role-playing as journalists and celebrities, conducting interviews to practice English. It includes templates for preparing questions and responses, focusing on background, career, daily routines, and personal interests. The activity fosters research, question formulation, and improvisation skills, allowing students to swap roles to experience both interviewing and being interviewed, enhancing speaking and listening competencies in a creative, engaging context.

Celebrity Interview Roleplay Activity

Long numbers, quantifiers, create, celebrity, made up, cardinal numbers, ordinal numbers.

Teach numbers, talk about a celebrity and sue lots of numbers. Tell them you've created a celebrity and have lots of numerical facts about them. Show them a copy and ask them to identify the types of numbers you've used. Get them to create their own (singer, writer, politician, etc.) and highlight their numbers. Read aloud in class after teacher has checked. If too difficult for some students, let them include pictures or draw their story out. Very adaptable.

Celebrations IN THE USA- Thanksgiving

A classic game that we all know and love.

Students simply have to describe the word on the card without saying any of the words at the bottom of the card. This can be done in different ways:

Team game. Students describe to their team or partner and get one point for each correct guess their partner makes within a set time limit.

Individual game. Students work in groups but take it in turns to describe. Whoever is first to guess correctly, gets one point. The winner is the student with the most points when all cards have been used.
