Especially suitable for smaller groups or one-on-one classes. (For bigger groups you could print more copies and split the class into groups). Have fun!

Multiple choice Word Formation exercises with suffixes changing words into different word categories. Key is given for the exercises.

WORD FORMATION

Based of the board game. Students are given a letter of the alphabet for which they must choose a word beginning with that letter to fill in  each category. I usually give 3 minutes to complete the list. Teams are awarded points to the word that no other team has. For example, if all teams guessed the country "America" for the letter "A" but one guessed "Australia" and another "Austria" then those two teams would each receive a point. You can keep the same category list and keep playing different letters or move on to the next category.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
