This can be used for elementary school students. I use this for my third and fourth graders.

This worksheet has a basic sentence from which you can create compound and complex sentences. This activity also helps to understand the birth of sentences which mostly from action words. (Watched, talked, purchased - Transitional verbs). 



Do this activity with an explanation of the first sentence clearly and then give them exercises.



This same pattern sentences will also be easy for the students to learn easily.

Sentence Creation (Simple to Complex and Compound)

Students fill in a chart to construct compound words. Pictures guide their work. This is used for writing in an ESOL class. The chart is self explanatory, but an example is given.
