A way to start the new school year reviewing the classroom vocabulary. Students can work individualy or in groups. They could also use or not the dictionary, depending on the teacher. You can give a time limit or not. Whatever works for you. As an extention to this activitiy, students can label the classroom and even can write a description of an object that hasn't appeared in the crossword. Can the rest of the class guess the object?

Crossword: Pre-intermediate

This is a picture/word association crossword puzzle based on The Little Mermaid Musical Play Book (Scene 3 primarily). The words are provided and students only have to understand what words go with which pictures, so it is pretty good for students still just learning how to read and don\'t necessary have words memorized.



I use this with students age 7-9. 



None of the images or words should be locked, it can be fully edited to change the pictures to something your students might prefer.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
