I cut out the slips then each student chooses one at random.  They then have 1 minute to prepare then must speak for 2 minutes about the topic.  To make it fair I give out the slips one at a time so all students have the same amount of time.  I also give points to other students who ask questions about the topic and points to the original student for answering them.
