Here it´s a set with 21 Present Perfect cards for lower-intermediate learners with the Simpsons. They have to put the verbs in present perfect and add the word in brackets (already, yet, just, recetly, lately). Hope it helps your ss develop their oral skills :)

The given board game is aimed to help students understand the difference between Past Simple and Past Perfect. 

Students work in pairs or groups of 3-4, they throw a dice and make a sentence using right forms of the verbs given in brackets. Keys are provided.

Past Simple vs. Past Perfect Board Game

In this game, students make a die (dice) that has pictures of places in their community on it.  After making the die, they roll it, using the game sheet to track how many times each place comes up on top.  I use a stamp to mark the worksheet, but you can use stickers, draw a check-mark, or even laminate the sheets and use dry-erase marker on them.  My students love this game! Here is a prepositions of place and directions worksheet which your students can enjoy learning and practicing those interesting topics. You can use it while a group activity in class or as  a part of a game.

PREPARATION:

This activity requires you to make a die or cards to select from the following attributes;

weight: heavy/light

size: small/big

age: young/old

strenght: strong/weak

speed: fast/slow

height: tall/short



The character cards also need to be cut up.



ACTIVITY:

The idea is to separate students into two teams or put them in a competition bracket.  One person selects the attribute, for example, heavy, and the competing students select blindly from the character cards.  The non-participating students ask the question selected, "Who is heavier, A or B?"  The two participating students reply, "A is heavier than B."  



Note: The characters are mostly recognizable to about 3rd grade elementary students and up

Comparing Japanese Characters

The focus is on reviewing adjective + preposition and verb + preposition and gerund form.  Students must remember the preposition that belongs with a particular adjective or verb and to change the verb in brackets to gerund form.

Students can either fill in the blank of a sentence or question, then answer the question.

Just have the students roll the dice taking turns. Have the students read the phrases in each box and transform the verbs in brakets into the past simple tense form.
