I have just prepared this worksheet to help my students understand and practice the verb "look" in its phrasal verb usage. 

Phrasal verb "look"

It's a worksheet for students who always feel confused about phrasal verbs. This worksheet is based on phrasal verbs of look. You can use it to introduce these eight common phrasal verbs to students. After you teach these phrasal verbs, there are some exercise you can do or you can ask students to make a simple conversation. That way, they will learn better.

Phrasal Verb: Look

Vocabulary practice matching activity to review the meanings of common verbs used to refer to ways of looking. This worksheet includes only one activity. The solution is on the second page.  A possible follow up could be asking students to write sentences using those  verbs.

Ways of Looking

In this worksheet there are 3 activities with some exercises inside for 90 pedagogical minutes.On this students develop the reading and writing skills. In activity 1 students have to read the text about a zookeeper expressing responsibilities and qualification and then students have to answer the questions. In activity 2 students have to match some expressions with the definitions. Finally in activity 3 students have to imagine  their ideal job ,answer the questions and write a text similar to the sample.

It is a card game that can be used to teach students to make questions using past tense. The game uses eternal mingling technique. Hope students will find fun!  

You Look Terrible

One student holds the image while the other draws with their eyes shut. Student A must direct Student B on what to draw and where. They can help as much as they can but only using words. SA is not allowed to touch SB in any way and SB must keep their eyes closed (I made them look at the ceiling).



Before starting, we brainstormed location words on the board to help the students who are to describe the image to their peer.

 

This was used to support a lesson about bats. It's a really fun activity that allows students to create silly drawings while using a lot of English.

I was looking for a similar worksheet on here but couldn\'t find it so I created one and decided to share. It has three dialogues for the student to complete using the grammar point (look + adjective). It is design for junior high school students grade 2 in Japan. For Sunshine\'s lesson plan. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
