This is a set of exercises to check the comprehension of the book "Meg and Mog".  There are games to learn the vocabulary and then short texts to write so as to use what has been learnt. Then you can have the students watch the cartoon (it can be found on YouTube).

It is a fun activity to do with students while they watch, you can stop from time to time to give them time to complete the worksheet.

This worksheet can be photocopied and it's for four students, with a dialog and a map included for students to understand directions and find places in a map.

Asking for and giving directions

Simple crossword that can supplement a lesson about different countries. There is a word bank that allows students to easily match country names to the spaces given. For a more difficult worksheet for a higher level, this could be removed.

If you are talking about countries in class, creating a travel brochure can be a great addition to the lesson! My students were working on a project where they had to be a travel agent for a country of choice. These brochures helped them to organize their information after they broke down different foods, landmarks, and famous people. 

There are two sheets, one with more simple language. They also include a back where they can create a poster/map for their country.

Simple worksheet to help YL practice when to use This, That, These, or Those. A helpful exercise with this topic is to also point 1 finger down for this, 1 away for that, all fingers down for these, and all away for those. Together, students can practice writing and speaking when to use the appropriate demonstrative pronouns.

This is a review page that I made for 3 different levels of ESL YL. All within Grades 1-3. 

I left the level on the top of each page so that you can see the breakdown; however, it is easily editable so you can remove/replace. This is because there are some repeat phrases on each page. The phrases are also editable (although you may need to un-group the boxes to edit) 

This worked really well for my YL as we had Term Test coming up and they needed to practice particular phrases. I allowed the students to pretend  to be the teacher and ask each other questions so that they could practice both question and response.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
