A series of 5 short riddles which require minimal pre-teaching of vocabulary especially at a post-beginner level. You can quickly write one up on the board and have students come up with possible solutions. My students absolutely love them!

This activity is a simple role play for negotiating a raise. You can pre-teach as you like or present minimally as you like and offer guidance during after they do it.

This is a worksheet based on TED Talk A Rich Life with Less Stuff by The Minimalists. It focuses on Vocabulary and Listening skills (both for general idea and for detail). Tasks include matching, gapfill, questions, looking for specific information. It is suitable for a longer class. Tasks are to be completed while watching the talk.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
