 Present Continuous Tense

Students have to look ath the picture and complete sentences with the proper form of the verb. They will practice the Present Continuous (Progressive) Tense. An exercise for 4th grade students.

Elementary Level 1 Present Continuous Tense using animal names, is or are, and verb + -ing. It's on a lower level so easy to explain and grasp. Mostly uses the question format of "What is the "turtle" doing"? Then the answer with the correct form of verb + -ing.

Present Continuous Tense 

Students have to fill in the blanks with the proper form of the verb (exercise A) and have to complete the sentences using am, is or are ( exercise B). Exercises can be given as homework or used as an additional activity. For 3rd and 4th grade students.

Students can write sentences in present continuous tense as in the examples.They can learn how to use present continuous .They can also learn some verbs and nouns by the pictures given.

Students are supposed to copy the sentences into their notebooks and put the verbs in brackets into the present continuous tense. All the verbs are affirmative but, you can ask your students to turn them into the negative form or simply ask questions and elicit their answers-negative as well as positive.
