The family is relaxing in the living room. The students do a true or false exercise practising 'there is/there are' and some prepositions. Then they complete an exercise on the present continuous tense. 

Picture description exercise

This exercise is a combination of 5 tenses including Present Simple, Simple Past, Present Continuous, Simple Future, Present Perfect but all are at elementary and at the early stage of Pre - Intermediate levels. It helps students again catch a glimpse at examples where which tenses should be used.

Two pictures, to which I have added extra differences. Students have to read the sentences and decide if they are describing A, B or both. Then they can single out the differences. A full key is included. A classic ESL task.
