This is a groupwork made for A2 to B1 students. It was designed to practice a part of a lesson about “arguing and quarreling with friends”. Students created a dialogue in groups (of 4 or 5 pupils) then acted it in front of the class. It was a fun and lively performance for them and for me. I hope you find it useful too!





Role-play: make a scene !

A fabulous picture, with a variety of basic exercises. They have to put in there is or there are, complete a T/F exercise, put the verbs into the present continuous tense and select the correct preposition of place. A full key is included. 

Picture description: a beautiful winter scene

There are 4 tasks: 1- read and colour. 2- answer true or false. 3- rewrite the words given in alphabetical order- 4- write A or An. It's useful to revise general language, colours, prepositions, body parts and the articles. I hope you like it!

Easter Bunny: a funny Easter scene

The students have to look at the picture and read the statements. They have to write right (R), false (F) or we don't know (?).

Picture description - Scenes in the park

This is a worksheet to practice simple present tense and vocabulary related to morning routine verbs while watching a scene from the first LEGO movie. I'll use it with my elementary students as a revision but you can also use it with other levels

Students follow simple step by step instructions to draw things in this dinosaur scene. Students will read first, then try to draw what the instructions tell them to do. This sheet is good for practising prepositions of place, colours, animals and adjectives. This could be used to help students with basic reading comprehension. Appropriate for students aged 5-13 years.

A listening comprehension activity (fill in the blanks) about the Youtube video "Who Are The Brontës?"

Students listen to the 2:23 listening and complete the text with the correct word from the listening.

This activity is good as a preview of the film "To Walk Invisible" since it can help students to understand better what they are going to watch.

These are scenes to be acted by students. They contain some humor and some drama. They can be done in 15 minutes. Students love them. Maybe it's because of the concept of being actors.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
