The seed in a plant is the part that develops from the ovules after fertilization. They are enclosed in the fruit which develops from the fertilized ovary. The seeds are formed as a result of sexual reproduction and contain the young embryo which can develop into a new plant.

Plant a Seed!

Worksheet, where you can color, cut and paste to make a great house, you can use also dough, seeds, glitter or whatever you want. Students must use scissors and glue with supervision.

The plant starts life as a seed, which germinates and grows into a plant.

The mature plant produces flowers, which are fertilized and produce seeds in a fruit.
