This is based on the idea that the students have to create their own Talk Show.  They will choose the guests and then create the questions they will ask.  Afterwards they can report their decisions to the class.

Book Talk

Conversation cards. Take a card with a crime stated. Start the sentence with "I used to be a law obedient citizen before I committed..." The task is to describe and explain the hypothetical crime in past simple as if a criminal is speaking.

Jail talk

The objective of this activity is to practise present and past simple. It is a speaking activity suitable for grammar revision at the beginning of a lesson. Enjoy .

Talk about....

Students colour, complete the crosswords, read and colour, write more words they can see in the picture (to revise adjectives and general language about birthday party), enjoy it!

Talking picture

This is really great fun! And it gets your students speaking. Description is on the copysheet. It takes little preparation and can be used with different topics and occasions. 

String Talks

Students play in groups. 



Roll the dice to move then talk about the topic that you land on. 

Students must say the number of sentences that they rolled on the dice. For example, if they roll 6 and land on "Disney," they must say 6 sentences about Disney. 



They can talk about their personal experiences, or the topic in general.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
