This resource strengthens skills with irregular verbs and planning a speech. The lesson begins with a listening activity and model for the finished speech. Then, it leads into prompts for the speech. The assignment ends with a rubric for teacher and/or student evaluation.

Like any resource, this resource is only a tool in the hands of a capable teacher. Feel free to adapt it to the needs of individual classes and students. Also, make my day and drop me a note about how you will use it. 

A Visit from the Past: Planned Speech Using Irregular Verbs

Pick up a person and make a short oral or written presentation about him/her. This activitiy involves using numbers in dates and the verb "be" is the  past simple.

I took a train in Vietnam, which included a "sleeping berth", so I thought I would create a dialogue between a Vietnam travel agent, and a traveler. It is designed on my experience using that train. The dialogue includes photos, a ticket, and an actual schedule, which are integrated into the dialogue. There is some Korean translation, for key words and phrases.

Two parts: Reservation, and travel the next day. I would say it is pre--- intermediate level, suitable for Korean University, or high school students.  I designed it for my Travel  English class.
