Food vocabulary, possessive s, food adjectives and easy sentences regarding the prices of food. The worksheet is useful for revision or towards the end of the topic food.

Whose food is it?

IT IS TO PRACTICE 'S, SINGULAR AND PLURAL NOUNS, VERB BE, CLASSROOM OBJECTS , WH- QUESTIONS ,DEMONSTRATIVES , POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES . ALL OF THEM USEFUL AND BASED ON STUDENTS' REALITY.

WHOSE OBJECTS ARE THESE?

First, they read the descriptions of the children and put the right name in. Then they match them to their granny. On page 2, they match the gran to the description and describe a granny themselves. Or describe their own granny... Grandmothers can be called, gran, grandma, granny, nan, nana, or for the very posh, grandmama.

Great as a warmer to get students chatting and sharing ideas

I used this both for body parts and `Whose is this?` `It`s mine/hers/his.`



Body Parts: students rolled a dice to determin how many eyes/heads/arms/legs etc their monster had.

After drawing the monster, they named and described it to the class.



Whose is this?:  students drew a monster, they were then collected and displayed at the front. The students were asked `Whose monster is this?` any student could reply with `It`s ~`s monster.` if no one guessed, the student who drew it would call out `It`s mine!` Remind students NOT to write their name on the sheet.

I have also used a variation, where students each get a monster and have to walk around asking `Whose monster is this?`

And activity that might be done by writing or by speaking to practise the Possessive Adjectives or the Possessives Pronouns. There is a table with the owners of some objects and questions about "Whose" these objects are.

2 pages. Works on "Who is John?" (answer should be John is a doctor, artist, etc.) and "Whose pencil case is this?" (answer should be "John's." or "It's John's pencil.")
