Action verbs represent physical and generally tangible actions, which can be appreciated through any of the five senses. 

When we want to express an action, whether physical or mental, we use the well-known “action verbs.” Expressing actions in English and Spanish is not as difficult as it seems and there are thousands of verbs that allow us to communicate exactly what we want, some more popular than others, but all important and necessary to know. 

An action verb explains specifically what the subject of the sentence is doing or has done, and using the right one is key, since some verbs convey small changes in meaning. 

Read the sentences, look at the images and choose the correct verb.

ANIMAL ACTIONS BIG FLASHCARDS

This game was made from the Action verbs domino I found on this site. It is aimed at helping children learn their words without having them written. I use it after the domino (it's level two in fact).

For those who don't know this game, there is only one common image between each card. Each student has a set of cards. A card is left on the table. The first player who finds the common picture in his first card and the card on the table says the word and places his card on the table. And so on. The aim is to be the first to have no card left in your hands. Enjoy !
