They read the self introductions and complete the exercises, a grid, some questions and a 'rate yourself' exercise. I use this to start a discussion about jobs, but more so, a discussion about personal ambitions. MIne used to be to write a book;-)

Four students talk about themselves and their resolutions. They have to read and then answer the questions. Then, they have to think about their own resolutions. I like this layout, which I have used before for ambitions and superheroes.

The worksheet contains prompts for a speaking exercise. It suggests three situations to give the possibility to students to discuss about personal choices, fears, ambitions.

Students have to create a new super hero and create a past and ambition for the future. This is part one and it's written. Part 2 involves speaking. Students film themselves to show us an episode of the super hero. A lot of fun, and a good revision.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
