A selection of English ESL among us printables

I know how much Among Us is still loved amongst all students, so I created this game to appeal to their interest :) I played this game with my A2 and B2 students and they had a blast! It was so much fun and such a good activity to further practice English. The "meetings" were a great speaking activity and the puzzles had the students thinking hard. They even forgot about the imposters! I created as many characters as I can for bigger groups but it can be played even with 6 students. I also added names to the characters in case you're using a printer with no colour ink like I did. You can edit and change the tasks or the riddles to whatever you like. I'm sure your students will also have a blast! Have fun and stay safe :)

In this worksheet you will find an engaging activity for your students to review Present Continuous. It is a multiple choice exercise where they will have to choose the correct option.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS - AMONG US

This worksheet focusing on jobs vocabulary can either be used as an individual or team reading exercise (page 1) or as a team game (page 2). As an extension, you can even make it into a writing lesson which students will surely enjoy. Full instructions provided on page 3. Have fun. 



Please note that some of the jobs are depicted as being female jobs such as nurse but this is not always necessarily so although in many countries the proportion of female nurses is much higher than male nurses. It goes without saying that both men and women can both be nurses and doctors so maybe take this moment to create awareness among your students in the classroom. Of course housewives are female as well but you might want to introduce the word house husband to make it clear that it is not necessarily the woman who stays at home.

This worksheet is used to describe an update event. It is a reading comprehension worksheet that can be used in a class. There are two tasks in this worksheet. True or False statements, and answering some questions based on the reading/text. There is no solution in this worksheet to provide extra discussion session among teachers and students. 

Let's talk about Coronavirus

This ws is for beginners. There are 40 irregular verbs in the tasks from ‘be’ to ‘leave’. There are 7 different tasks to practise the past tense form of the irregular verbs. KEY is included. The spiral notebook style is from Philip Roeland. I made a multiple choice exercise to these verbs and a 2-page ws with 4 tasks and answer key. You can find them among today’s printables as well. Past Simple Tense 3/1 * Irregular Verbs - Part 1

With this board game students will practise recognizing common mistakes. Please review necessary grammar points after the game (main focus is on subject-verb agreement, articles, plurals, there is/are, comparison etc.). An enjoyable way to test basic grammar. Usage Note regarding the Â´familyÂ´ questions: In American usage, a collective noun takes a singular verb when it refers to the collection considered as a whole, as in: The family was united on this question. The enemy is suing for peace. It takes a plural verb when it refers to the members of the group considered as individuals, as in: My family are always fighting among themselves. The enemy were showing up in groups of three or four to turn in their weapons. In British usage, however, collective nouns are more often treated as plurals. Depending on your class and curriculum, you might want to adapt or replace this question.

Board Game - Correct or Not? (Elementary - Pre-intermediate)

This worksheet was created to work with the song "Something just like this" by Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. It contains activities like matching, fill in the blanks and error correction among others. I have included the link to a youtube video with the lyrics that can be used to correct the activity.

This worksheets has many exercises. Firstly, students have to choose an idea for a business among some logos. They must discuss the advantages and disadvanges of each one. Secondly, they have to fill in a questionnaire about their business and new company. They will learn a lot of vocabulary related to business.


Then, they must present their idea to the rest of their partners using the answers from the questionnaire and, finally, they have to 'record' an advertisment for the local radio.
