The task: to name a picture using the correct article.

This board game was created for 8-9-year-olds. 

There are simple words we have studied before.

Here are the words in the order they are listed in the boardgame: a table, a window, an orange, a bag, a cat, an apple, a pen, an umbrella, a dog, a camera, an eraser, a chair, a house, a desk, a pencil, an egg, a banana, an ice-cream, a pencil case, a book, a door.

This WS is based on Oscar the Grouch´s song. He is one of the famous characters from Sesame Street. I use this song to teach my Students about the 3rs (redue, reuse, recycle). A nice way to introduce sustainable development!! The WS is fully editable, the keys are provided and the picture is copyright free (at least that´s what google picture told me!!!) any feedback is welcome ;)

8 bingo cards with Christmas vocabulary : presents, snow, Father Christmas, bells, Rudolph the red nose reindeer, stocking, candle, Christmas tree, snowman.  You can cut out a set of cards to create flashcards and pull them out of a bag for the bingo game.

Description:

This is a great activity for students to practise past continuous tense in a fun way. Students will get cards with names, places and weapons. They will go ask everyone else what they have by using a dialog. Similar to the cluedo games. I changed it slightly. The structure, the dialog, and the role play cards are completely on my own. ************************************************************* This is the link to the role play cards ********************************************** Example dialog If the person has a name, he should say the name on the card instead of their own names. If not, they can say what their name is. Names

It's a short text about school, containing words like "bag, blackboard, book, pen" and pictures of them. It helps practise school vocabulary and adjectives (colors)

The first page is a normal grammar exercise in which students must follow the instructions, deciding if the sentences have the correct word order or replacing one object with a pronun.



The second page is a list of common double-transitive verbs, which you should cut out before the lesson and put into a bag. The students then create a chain story, where each sentence has to contain one verb drawn from the bag.



Topics that I've seen work for this exercise:

4. A fantasy trip (good for revising conditionals at the same time)
