The following boardgame will help your srudents revise some common irregular verbs. When  a student "lands" on a verb he/she needs to say a correct form in the past simple with that verb. If it's incorrect they have to come back to their previous place. Younger students can be asked to simply say the past form of the verb. I hope they like it!

Board game to practise time expressions as well as prepositions of time. Students talk in pairs about the topics on the sheet. There are two "Start" squares. Each student places their counter on their "Start" square. Then they move forward by one square at a time and talk about the topic using the appropriate time expressions.

This is a modified version of Past Perfect - Past Perfect Continuous boardgame. ItÂ´s been changed so that it can be used to practice Present Perfect vs. Present Perfect Continuous. The rules are similar - the person who can make the biggest number of sentences about given topics is the winner.

Present Perfect - Present Perfect Continuous - a boardgame

A game that includes famous monuments, common disasters, and world capitals. Students should prepare before playing by studying the FAMOUS LANDMARKS and DISASTER CARDS.





 When the player lands on a square, he/she needs to explain about the landmark or disaster or provide a world capital. If the player cannot, then he/she loses a turn. 





You can move in any way around the board until you reach the finish line. This game was inspired by a student who is a geography nut.

Students have to make a sentence with the vocabulary on the square they land on. I'm uploading the board in parts because of the size of the file. 

If you want to make the game more challenging you will also find:

- a subject pronoun dice. Students have to make a sentence not only with the vocabulary provided but also with the pronoun they get.

- A dice that tells them whether they have to make an affirmative sentence, negative, yes/no question or information question.
