Myth of Pandora's Box - Video Worksheet

Listen to Wilco's 'Got a box full of letters' and fill in the missing lyrics. Useful as a starter activity for a lesson on letter writing.

Got a box full of letters

This is an easy RC activity about "Boxing Day" that includes a task to boost vocabulary and a task about have to/has to/had to. Students read the text, complete a passage with the missing words, and complete some sentences with the correct verbs. Key included.

Mystery action words. 

The activity is presented to the whole class, it can then be worked on in pairs or in small groups of children so that everybody in the classroom gets to have a go.

The teacher prepares the activity by printing and pre-cutting the action word cards, folding them in two or four then placing them in a small box with an opening. The opening should be big enough that children can slip their fingers through it to retrieve an action card.

 The teacher then presents the activity with the following instructions:
> A child picks an action word from the box. 
> S/he reads the action word silently. 
> Place the word back in the box.
> Mimic the movements so that schoolmates can guess its meaning.  
> Repeat x 3 or 4 times, then the child hands the activity over to his/her classmate.
