This is a grammar exercise for pre-intermediate students. There are two kinds of exercises. 1) ask for the underlined form 2) ask about  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's life. In ex 2 you get the text with blanks. You get the question-words and the answers to the blanks are in a separate box.

Ask Questions

This worksheet is meant for very young students. They look at the pictures that represent parts of furniture. They have to guess what it is. The words in the box can help. You can also use it as a game. The student who finds all the words first, is the winner.

Furniture guessing

This is an activity for returning students that can be used in their first lesson to ease them back into English.



First, they need to complete the sentences that apply to what they did during vacation. Depending on their level you can ask them for more detailed answers.



Afterward, they should write three sentences detailing what they will do during Golden Week. There is a list of verbs at the bottom, in both English and Japanese, to aid them. If your students are high level you can remove the box and/or make them write more sentences.

3 different exercises on the Present Simple and Present Continuous Tense with a reading activity. First they put the verbs in brackets into the correct tense and write the names in the boxes. Then they answer the questions. Finally they write the sentences true or false. Hope to be useful :)

Idioms of Anger: Picture Mix-and_match

I made this for my youngest ESL students when we were learning about different art supplies. It worked well as a quick cooler activity. Students simply cut and paste the supplies in the appropriate boxes. 

Organize the Desk - Art Supplies

students have to draw a monster and then describe the

and present it in front of the class.

A listening task - students are to write names, age and occupation in the boxes. 

Read aloud the text.

Family listening task

Students rearrange the letters in each box and write the word on the lines. Then they write the number of the word in the matching box (with pictures).

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
