Here Students digest information by listening to the audio/podcast interview, and answering questions - just like a normal reading Comprehension worksheet.

The questions are divided within 3 columns of difficulty (I used them for students of differing level within same class - putting the names of each). 

There are no lines for writing as this is intended to be used for an online class screen sharing. 



To use this, simply screenshare the document in one half of the screen and the Soundcloud window in the other to rewind any misheard parts. Make sure you are also sharing the sound in your screen share (in Zoom Meetings this would be ticking the "Share sound" box when choosing what to share).

I have not found any seek options on mobile so it's recommended to use a computer to do this exercise. 



In the audio, a man interviews an Indonesian girl about food in Indonesia - what they eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The girl is in school and eats healthier foods than most Indonesians.

There is also some local food mentions.

These flashcards enable the young learners to get to know different food categories - fruits, vegetables, desserts, drinks, meat and things you have for breakfast. Get them to sort the flashcards of food according to the categories.

A day in the life of a Brazilian student.

My day starts very early. I get up at six o'clock in the morning. I have breakfast at half past six . After breakfast, I go to school but I don't take a bus. 	
I walk to school, because we live near it. I start school at seven o'clock. I stay there until noon. After school, I go home and I have lunch. 
After lunch I study and I do my homework. At five o'clock I take a shower. At seven o'clock all my family is at home and we have dinner together. We talk about our day. After dinner, we watch TV or listen to good music. I don't go to bed very late. I go to bed before ten o'clock.

Simple Present activity

Every day, I wake up early, I have breakfast and go to school by bus or with my parents. School starts at 8:00 AM. In the morning, we have classes like math, English, and science, with a break to eat a snack and play with friends. At noon, we eat lunch together in the cafeteria, followed by more classes and activities like drawing or music. School usually ends at 3:00 PM. On Wednesdays, I practice sports with Miss Yussra. My favourite school subject is English, I study it on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. I enjoy learning new things and spending time with my classmates. After school, I do my homework and then play outside with friends.

Consider starting your day with milk, an apple, and fresh orange juice for breakfast. For lunch, opt for chicken breast with fresh vegetable salad. At dinner, try fish soup accompanied by another serving of vegetable salad. Regular exercise is also key to losing weight and improving your health. Take care.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
