Daily Routine. Fill-in-the-gaps exercise. It can be used as a drill lexical activity after daily routine vocabulary introduction. The students have to substitute the pictures by necessary vocabulary.

This is particularly useful for teaching in Asia. Students usually cut off the end sounds for words, so this helps them to focus on the importance of the final consonants. They can then practice building from back to front for pronunciation and can follow up with a listening/speaking task. Closed pairs.

Writing worksheet - students will be able to practice and describe two pictures of Piccadilly Circus. The idea is that they put into practise the use of richer adjectives to describe places.

Commas, apostrophe, capital letter and period are taught. Also, style with the use of examples at the beginning. The first three exercises are to prepare students for writing with correct punctuation. The last two are for students to correct punctuation and write a letter in a group. I recommend to give this in two classes. Ex. 1-3 in the fiirst class + homework at the end. Ex 4+5 in class 2.

Clothing Picture and Vocabulary List

A small reading taken from an English newspaper with a mix and match exercise. On the reverse side of the reading there is a role-play and the third page there are "personality cards." The answer key is on the 4th page. The instructions are on page 2 along with the internal memo setting the context for the role-play.

Obesity Reading and Role-Play

A business English phrasal verb worksheet about logistics. It is mostly about transport so I might do another connected to inventories, stocktaking etc. Obviously, this is aimed at adults that do this kind of work or who are involved in management. There is a mix-and-match, bingo, a gap-fill, and an article, plus a section to practice the CFE reading and use of English part 4 section of the exam. The answers are on the back.
