This worksheet has two pages. The first page  shows different Carnival costumes. Students have to match the pictures with the words. The second page contains a wordsearch. Students have to find the name of some Carnival related words in the wordsearch.

Carnival Costumes

Here the kids get a description of a carnival dress and have to guess the costumes. Then they can colour the pictures and practise to speak describing their costumes to the other kids.

Here are some pictures of carnival costumes. The correct name has to be written under the picture. 

As the pictures can be coloured, you also can repeat the colours. Either you can train the listening skills by giving the description or they can colour it by themself and have to describe their costume. 

Pictures of different costumes for Carnival time. You should cut them first. The students pick one and put it on their foreheads.  You will need something to stick them to. (some headbands, cellotape...) They have to guess who they are asking questions and listening to the clues their partners give them about their costume.

Students then can practice reading comprehension by filling in the blanks with the correct word from the first part of the activity. The answer key is provided on the second page.
