Checking knowledge of tenses

Sts work in pairs to complete the gaps and check their answers with the teacher, and then role play the dialogue. Sts then role play the three situations included in the worksheet. 

Checking into a hotel

Vocabulary checking work sheets. There are lists of words written in English based on school program which have to be translated. The checking sheet can be used for Russian speaking students. The checking sheet also is ok to be used for fifth/ eleventh grade students.  The checking sheet includes score table for calculation of the correct and incorrect translated words.  This sheet can be used for competition purposes. The teacher can split a class to two or even three or four teams and give a task to translate the words by exact provided time. The winner team should be awarded with something interesting for his/her self-development in education.

Checking in a Hospital.

In this esl lesson, students will listen to audio of an airline employee helping a man check in to his flight. Students will discuss things they see and do at an airport. Students will also learn and practice prepositions of direction, learn common idioms used at an airport, and practice vocabulary relating to this topic. I used these in freshmen classes at a Korean University. Practice in pairs, then perform at the from of the class.

It's a short test I've created for my 5th Grade students on the topic: family and superheroes. I made it to cover all 5 areas of language acquisition fields: reading, vocabulary, grammar, everyday English, listening and writing.

Grammar: use of have/has got, abilities (can/can't), the possessive 's or of the.

Vocabulary: members of the family, physical appearance and personality, activities.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
