CHOCOLATE CHIPS COOKIES

This is a set of exercises to memorise the words studied while reading the picture book by Julia Donaldson "Chocolate Mousse for Greedy Goose".

The first exercise is about naming what you find on the table (fork, knife, spoon, plate...) and the second one a cross word puzzle about food.

Charlie and the Chocolate factory

I created this worksheet as a reading composition exercise. I think the process of chocolate making is really interesting and i'm sure a lot of students will too. 

I recommend finding a short Youtube video about this subject to show to the students to get their interests flowing before starting this worksheet. I also would suggest a little chocolate tasting session after completing this, such as sampling how the percentage of cocoa beans in the chocolate affect's it's 'bitter' or 'sweet' taste.

For a follow-up, you could get the students to create their own poster showing the stages of the chocolate making process.

Where does chocolate come from?

This is a script with blanks that the students have to fill in; it's the words to the famous Beatles song. You can use  CD or a video from the internet...

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well
